ELSA Bucharest has the honor to present a relatively new project, reaching its 4th edition this year- Banking and Finance Law International Summer School, event which will take place during the 18th and 29th of July, 2012, in Prahova Valley, one of the most treasured landscapes in Romania. Due to its theme, untapped in the South Eastern Europe, this school has gained a height level of appreciation among students all over the world but also graduates, Master and PhD students and practitioners in this field.
The existing economic context is a very dynamic one and in consequence banking and finance law is rapidly evolving, requiring at the same time constant attention and practice. The event will focus on “Restructuring and Insolvency” and the lectures will present both Romanian and English legislation.
Reputable lecturers and appreciated practitioners will be invited to take part in drawing up the academic agenda of the event, and most importantly, they will attend the lectures and workshops and share their experience with the participants.
The main purpose of our summer school is to provide information about the experience of working in this particular field, beginning with the basic concepts and ending with practical aspects. The speakers will easily capture your attention with their interesting presentation, which will underline the practice and jurisprudence in a different manner than the information coming from course books.
After understanding the theoretical aspects of banking and finance law, the participants will have the possibility to apply it during workshops and in a moot court competition at the end of the academic program. The every-day special designed social program would be a very proper way to interact with people and make these 12 days a great and unforgettable experience, being at the same time an opportunity to discover the treasured Romanian regions.
The 4th edition of Banking and Finance Law aims to bring together up to 30 interested students from all over the world and give them the opportunity to improve their understanding of banking and finance law, leaving them with great memories from this wonderful experience!
